As of 31 December 2007, the Group had a total staff of 127,959 and a subscriber base of over 369.3 million, and enjoyed a market share of approximately 69.3 per cent.in Mainland China. The Group’s GSM global roaming services covered 231 countries and regions and its GPRS roaming services covered 161 countries and regions.

The Company's majority shareholder is China Mobile (Hong Kong) Group Limited, which, as of 31 December 2007, indirectly held an equity interest of approximately 74.33 per cent. of the Company through a wholly-owned ubsidiary, China Mobile Hong Kong (BVI) Limited. The remaining equity interest of approximately 25.67 per cent. of the Company was held by public investors.
